The renovation of the bunkers will involve the removal and stockpiling of existing sand, followed by the extraction of old gravel and drainage pipes. New drainage systems will be installed, incorporating both perforated and solid drain pipes to enhance water management within the bunkers. Some bunkers will be reduced or entirely removed, using on-site materials for shaping and integrating them back into the landscape. New bunkers will be constructed, while existing ones will be reshaped, with their floors and edges contoured for optimal playability. The installation of new bunker liners will include both JM Evalith and Capillary-Concrete to maintain bunker integrity. Following this, bunker sand, specifically GC-300 from Mitchell Products, will be purchased and meticulously placed to the specified depths.
Landscaping efforts will focus on restoring areas disturbed by construction, with fairway and rough sod being laid to blend seamlessly with the existing turf.
Regarding cart paths, the project includes the removal of old asphalt paths, either disposing of them or repurposing them as base material for new paths. New asphalt cart paths will be built with proper base preparation to ensure durability and functionality.
The renovation also covers adjustments to the irrigation system to accommodate the new bunker layout, ensuring that maintenance remains efficient post-construction.
